Website makeover! Finally, rune|vision has gotten a completely new design. The six years old dark and blue angled design has been replaced with a bright smooth lime and orange design, aimed to make it look more professional, and the content has been revised as well. Hope you like it! I've also uploaded my 3D image series Metal & Flowers, which is my most ambitious artwork yet, and an exercise in playful ironic contrasts, both visually and thematically.

Our Team 3 game production FLIPSIDE is a 2008 Independent Games Festival Student Showcase Winner! It's a huge honor, and I and two other guys from Team 3 are going to San Francisco by February to show off our game at the Game Developers Conference, attend the IGF Awards Ceremony, and talk with people in the business. :D

Jun 30 2007
The platform game FLIPSIDE features the split-pesonality mental institution patient Hannibal on the run, as he imagines his own escape in a cardboard cut-out world with two sides. As his mood changes between extremes, the world reflects it and flips between a happy, fluffy world with bunnies and bumble bees, and a gloomy, hostile world with evil nurses and killer wasps.

Apr 24 2007
ClashBall Championship is a frenzied rough-and-tumble ball game set in the future with two teams of robots battling each other to score the most goals. Tackle your opponents when they're close or throw heavy boxes at them to watch them fly though the air. Play with your AI-controlled team players against the computer or play against a friend in the split-screen mode.

Mar 31 2007
Dragon Panic is an interactive OpenGL demo featuring a flock of small helpless people and a huge serpent-like dragon emerging out of a lava lake, which can spew fire breath and fireballs at the people. Be in control! Scorch those critters and make them run in panic! Try it out at the new Dragon Panic page in the Multimedia section. It's fun!

Okay, the last update was two years ago... I've been busy with Real Life, but here's a few updates now: I made a 40 second animation with a spider robot pet called ArachnoBot. See the cute fellow on the Animations page. I also made a simple abstract 3d image in the 3D Gallery. Oh, and for those using Game Maker, I released a version of Rune's Game Engine compatible with Game Maker 6 on the Game Maker page.

Apr 12 2005
Linux Magazine France has a 7-page article about Rune's Particle System. The title is "POV-Ray's quest for fire and smoke". In other news, my Stereogram Gallery has for the first time for years been updated with one new image. It's an updated version of the dragon stereogram from 1999, with a better tiled image, made with POV-Ray.

Nov 1 2004
Red and White is a new game I've made which is a computer version of the classic board game known as Reversi or Othello. Play it against a friend or one of three computer opponents!

Oct 5 2004
In June this year, quite unnoticed by me, the two images that won first and second place in the Internet Raytracing Competition both featured the Fast Sky from my POV-Ray Goodies page. Find the two great images in the Outside Gallery.

Sep 8 2004 (Newsletter sent out)

Maze Raiders is a fun two-player game I've made together with three other persons. You need to sit two persons by the same computer to play the game. The object of the game is to run around in a maze and collect more gold coins than your opponent, and to shoot him and steal his coins. Beat your friends and have fun! :D Get the game here.

Dec 30 2003
The multimedia section has been expanded with a new page dedicated to webdesign, which showcases a few websites I have designed over the years.

I've made two new animations. "Tunnel Ride" is a ride through a sparsingly lit underground tunnel on fragile rails and with glowing blue crystals everywhere. "Infinite Menger Sponge" is, as the name says, an animation that keeps zooming in on an infinite menger sponge. Source code is available for both of these animations.

I've put up a new Computer Graphics Gallery. It's not very big yet, but some of the images there have a kind of personal touch not found in my 3D Graphics Gallery. Go have a look. :)

Jun 24 2003

My particle system is finally released! You can use it in POV-Ray 3.5 to create all sorts of effects, like water, smoke, fire and sparks. The particle system comes complete with include file, documentation, and many sample scene files. You can download the system and also see animations of all the sample scene files here.

rune|vision July 2002 Brand new web site! Rune's World has changed into rune|vision and the new address is runevision.com. The design is also completely new. What do you think of it? Making web pages in ASP sure is much more fun than plain HTML...

May 20 2002
Again I have used my particle system to create an explosion. I've improved the look of the smoke and fire in the explosion a lot, and in this animation I used a photo of a real building and added the explosion effect on top of that. Besides the fire, smoke and dust I also added debris and some damage to the building. You can see the result on my Animation Experiments page.

Apr 14 2002
I've made a little test animation with ripples in water, that somewhat realistically interacts with objects in the water. You can see the result on my Animation Experiments page.

Mar 19 2002
I have made available some code for a fast rendering sky with shaded clouds using just four planes. Grab the file from my POV Goodies page.

Feb 16 2002 (Newsletter sent out)
I have tried to create an explosion using my particle system, as it seemed like an obvious and interesting task. Instead of using media, which renders very slowly, I wanted to see how far I could take regular textures on spheres. You can see the result on my Animation Experiments page.

Jan 20 2002
I have made a lip synch system! You can use it to set up, pose and animate a mouth in a toony, yet convincing style. Many predefined phoneme and expression lip poses make it easy giving life to the mouth, and powerful weighted morphing techniques offer great control and precision. Get it on my Include Files page and see a demo animation for it on my Animation Experiments page.

Jan 2 2002
I've made a new animation with the walking system I'm working on. I've made a test where my character AL the Alien walks and stops and turns around. You can see it on my Animation Experiments page. I've also written a page with a little info about my particle system for those interested.

Nov 5 2001 (Newsletter sent out)
I'm currently working on a new project: An animation walking system! When fed with the right data, it can automatically make something walk along a specified path. My first real test was making a spider crawl and you can see that animation on my Animation Experiments page.

Sep 26 2001
I've made a new include file for POV-Ray. The Fast Grass Include File lets you create textures that look like grass. Using some special tricks the grass appears to have depth even though the textures are flat.

Jun 26 2001 (Newsletter sent out)
I've had several requests for source code for the animations on my new Animation Experiments page. While I can't provide code for all of them, now I've at least provided the code for four of them. Enjoy! I've also added two new animations: A serious test of my particle system and an animation showcasing my new Electricity Include File - which is another addition to the site! Speaking of include files, I've taken down all the pages for my individual include files and instead made one Include Files page where all my include files are located. So please update your possible links! I've also created a Terms of use page - I hope you don't think it's too restrictive. If you have any questions about the terms you're welcome to contact me. Hey - you're *always* welcome to contact me! :)

May 10 2001 (Newsletter sent out)
I've set up a new page in the 3D section: Animation Experiments. It's not finished pieces of work, but could be rather interesting anyway. Go see it, and tell me what you think! :)
